Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to depossier.com, connected account and billing services, the Security Deposit Recovery Tool, and support interactions. It explains how we handle information when you use the free Deposit Check, request or purchase a Recovery Pack, create an account, contact support, or browse the site. Third-party payment, authentication, analytics, advertising, hosting, and other providers may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Deposit Check information
The free Deposit Check may receive the rental state, original security deposit, amount returned, move-out date, itemization status, and evidence status that you choose to enter. The browser uses these values to show an organizing estimate of the amount still in dispute and the days since move-out. Depossier does not treat that result as a legal damages calculation, a final deadline determination, or a guarantee of recovery.
Do not enter Social Security numbers, bank details, passwords, full financial account numbers, or unrelated sensitive information into the tool. Only provide information needed for the task you are trying to complete.
Recovery Pack and document information
If you use a paid Recovery Pack workflow, we may process the rental facts, names and contact details you choose to provide, property address, lease dates, deposit figures, deduction descriptions, evidence notes, requested outcomes, and document or email content needed to prepare the package. We use this information to provide the requested document-preparation service, account access, billing support, fraud prevention, and customer support.
Depossier does not contact your landlord, send email, serve legal papers, verify a recipient address, or decide whether a claim will succeed. You choose what to include, review the output, attach records, send the materials, and save delivery records.
Account, sign-in, and billing information
When you sign in with Google or another supported identity provider, we may receive the account identifier, name, email address, profile image, authentication information, and sign-in timestamps that the provider authorizes. We use this information to authenticate you, connect a Recovery Pack or entitlement to the correct account, prevent abuse, and provide account features.
When you purchase a product, we and the payment provider may process your account identifier, email address, product, currency, amount, tax information, transaction reference, payment status, and related billing events. Complete payment-card details are handled by the payment provider and are not intended to be stored by Depossier.
Website, device, and security information
When you visit the website or use connected services, we and our infrastructure providers may process IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, requested URL, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, cookie or local-storage identifiers, response status, and security or diagnostic logs. We use this information to deliver the service, keep it secure, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and understand aggregate performance.
Support communications
If you contact support@depossier.com, we process your email address, message, attachments you choose to send, and information needed to respond. Do not send passwords, complete payment-card details, Social Security numbers, or unnecessary private rental records. If a support investigation requires an example, send the smallest redacted example you are comfortable sharing.
Cookies, advertising, and Google services
The website may use cookies, local storage, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies for essential functionality, security, analytics, measurement, account features, and advertising. The website may use third-party analytics and measurement tools, including Microsoft Clarity, to understand aggregate usage, diagnose errors, and improve the service.
The website may display advertising through Google AdSense or similar services. Google and its partners may collect, share, and use data to provide, personalize, measure, and secure their services. This data may include IP addresses, cookie identifiers, device or browser identifiers, approximate location, page visits, and interactions.
Because ads are served on depossier.com, Google and other third-party vendors may place or read cookies or use web beacons, IP addresses, and similar identifiers in connection with advertising. Depending on your location and applicable law, we may request consent before using non-essential advertising or analytics technologies. You can manage cookies through your browser, available consent controls, and provider settings.
How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
How information is shared
We may share the minimum information needed with providers that support hosting, authentication, payment processing, customer support, security, analytics, advertising, email delivery, and document or content processing. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell your submitted rental information as a standalone product. We do not intentionally use Recovery Pack information to build an advertising profile. Providers may process account, billing, website, operational, or document-request information only for the services they provide to us and under their own legal obligations.
Retention and security
We retain account, transaction, support, security, and service records only as long as reasonably needed for service operation, legal obligations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and enforcement. Drafts or generated materials may remain available according to the product workflow and account settings. Third-party providers may retain data under their applicable terms.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections for sensitive data transmitted to our services. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account, browser profile, device, and any rental documents or generated materials you save.
Your choices and rights
You can stop using the service, manage browser cookies, request account deletion, or contact us about eligible access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or consent rights. Some billing, fraud-prevention, security, or legal records may need to be retained.
Send privacy requests to support@depossier.com. We may verify your identity before acting and may ask for enough information to locate the relevant account without requesting unnecessary rental documents.
Children, international processing, and changes
Depossier is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to applicable safeguards and law.
