Why Depossier exists
A missing or reduced security deposit can leave a tenant with scattered records, unclear deductions, and no obvious next step. Depossier starts with the facts a tenant is most likely to have: the original deposit, the amount returned, the move-out date, the rental state, the deduction statement, and available evidence.
The free Deposit Check turns those entries into a simple balance and timeline view. It is designed to help a tenant decide what to verify and what documents to gather before writing to a landlord.
What the product prepares
The planned Security Deposit Recovery Pack is intended to include a state-specific demand letter draft, deduction review summary, amount and date timeline, evidence checklist, email subject and body copy, and a follow-up template. The goal is to keep the facts consistent across the letter, email, and supporting records.
Depossier is deliberately narrower than a general legal-document marketplace. It focuses on security deposit return requests, deduction questions, evidence organization, and the practical work that happens before a tenant chooses whether to escalate.
You remain in control
Depossier does not contact landlords, send email, serve legal papers, verify a recipient address, negotiate on a tenant's behalf, or promise that a landlord will pay. You review the facts, choose what evidence to attach, select the delivery method, send the materials yourself, and save your records.
The tool does not replace an official state source, legal-aid organization, or qualified professional. Security deposit rules can vary by state, local jurisdiction, lease terms, property type, notice facts, and the evidence available.
